AHMEDABAD - MUMBAI AC DOUBLE DECKER TRAIN

AC Double Decker Train :: Mumbai - Ahmedabad
AC Double decker trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad announced last rail budget expected to run from September 19. Rail rake is ready and already on its way from Rail coach factory, Kapurthala. Western Railways are planning to run trial before the inauguration. This train will have seating capacity 120 passengers per coach. Where 70 passengers will be on the lower floor. The official fare chart is not yet released but its likely to cost around Rs. 471 per passenger. Food Charge is inclusive of the train ticket fare.

Indian railways are planned to provide stoppage at the following railway stations Borivali, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch and Surat.


Western railways announced Trains details of new AC Double decker train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This train will start running from 19 - September - 2012 and will run on Monday to Saturday. Following are the further details of this train

 Train No.12931/12932  Mumbai - Ahmedabad AC Double Decker Train:-Train No. 12931 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Decker Super Fast Express will depart from Mumbai Central at 14.20 hrs from Monday to Saturday and reach Ahmedabad at 21.40 hrs. Train No. 12932 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Double Decker Super Fast Express will depart from Ahmedabad at 06.00 hrs from Monday to Saturday and reach Mumbai Central at 13.00 hrs.This train consists of AC Chair class. The carrying capacity of a coach of Double Decker Super Fast Express will be 120seats while the capacity of a coach of Shatabdi Express is78 i.e. 54% more.

Double Decker Sittings
It is planned to provide a mini Pantry Car Service in the train which will provide snacks etc. to the passengers’ o­n payment.

Ticket Fare of Double Decker Train
 It is also planned to make available LCD screens in the train to provide entertainment to the passengers o­n advertisement basis with no cost to the railways. It will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand and Nadiad in both the directions.
